Manurva (Minerva) Jordan b. 1822 or 1828 in NC (The maiden name is taken from the 1880 census when her young sister Winnie Jordan comes to live with her.)

Winnie Jordan’s father could possibly be Jacob(b. 1800)  from Pitt County, California, NC (This assumption is made because the dad had to be old enough to father Manurva and then a very young wife to give birth to Winnie. The sisters are at least 52 years apart.

 

??? Wade was born in VA (This is based on the 1880 census that the children’s father was from VA)

He died in Arkansas between 1864-1870. (This is based on the birth of their last son Henry (b. 1865) and Manurva as a widow on the 1870 census.

 

***ONE NOTATION: There were no slaveholders with the last name Wade in Phillips or Monroe County. Wade could have originated in TN or VA.
